This #NationalCodingWeek we asked members of our community to share why they love to code using the hashtag #WhyILoveToCode. With your words we wanted to empower more people with code by encouraging them to love it like you do!

Here are some of our favourite reasons to love code from you, our community:

“One of the main reasons I love coding is that there’s no right or wrong way to do it. Each programmer has their own styles and their own approaches.” – Aidan, Software Developer at Yozu

“I love coding because every task is like a puzzle, some more challenging than others. With every project there is always something new to learn, such as aspects of a particular language I’ve never used before, or a new framework that approaches a particular problem in a new way.” – Claire, Front-End Developer at interconnect/it

“I love to code because I like problem-solving. It’s great when you can take static designs and bring them to life and watch people interact with them in different ways. It’s the only thing that keeps me up at night, still thinking about solutions to a problem or how I could achieve something in a different way. The web has endless possibilities and in the last 5 years since I’ve learned how to code, I’m still learning something new every day. I can’t wait to see where the web will take us next.” – Roxy, Front-End Developer at Uniform

“Coding has definitely helped me build my confidence and has made me realise that I am capable of things I never thought I was capable of doing. But the thing I love most about it is that there’s so much to learn and it’s changing all the time. It makes every day unique and never boring.” – Charlotte, Software Engineer Degree Apprentice at Shop Direct

“I love to code because no matter what you’re working on it’s going to make a difference to someone somewhere” – Rachael, Software Developer at Doris IT

“You can make absolutely anything you want. If you can think of it, you can do it.” – Lucy, Intern Front-End Developer at Shop Direct
