Come along to our monthly meet ups for women and men in tech!
Held on the first Monday of every month, the first gathering of geeks will be on 5th September at Muster Coffee, from 6pm to 8pm.
Our meet ups are very friendly. They tend to attract a non-judgemental gaggle of like-minded geeks. We provide an informal space to relax, make new connections and catch up with old friends. We get some interesting folks at our gatherings, so just bring your smile and dive right in!
Be inspired
We’ll also be showcasing an inspirational individual each month, giving them a platform to tell us all about their journey so far. Our first speaker in the series will be Mandy Phillips. Mandy is currently Head of Corporate Change Initiatives at Liverpool John Moores University. In this role, Mandy is responsible for driving through Digital Transformation across all areas of the organisation and she describes herself as:
An authentic leader, bringing fragmented teams together to achieve common goals using tech as an appropriate tool. Leading the business through transitions and changing culture as I go.
In her spare time, Mandy also helps to run Ignite Liverpool, which many of you will have attended, as well as Founding Women in Digital and I.T. We can’t wait to hear her speak!
Get involved
We’re currently looking for freelancers to help us deliver our programmes, particularly teachers, mentors and facilitators. We also need volunteers in a wide range of roles. Pop down to a meet up to catch up with one of our team if you think you’d like to help.
